 Introduction 

The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup is the ninth edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, a Twenty 20 International (T20I) tournament contested by men's national teams and organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It is co-hosted by the West Indies and the United States from 1 to 29 June 2024.

Match Format

The 20 teams will be divided into four groups and following the round-robin matches, the top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Eight. The four teams in each group will play against each other once in the Super Eight phase. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals.

For the first time in cricket history, the ICC T20 World Cup will be hosted in the United States, alongside the traditional cricketing grounds of the West Indies. This groundbreaking decision is seen as a strategic move by the International Cricket Council (ICC) to globalize the sport and tap into the burgeoning cricketing audience in North America. Matches will be held across multiple venues in both regions, offering diverse conditions and thrilling challenges for the teams.

The West Indies' pitches are traditionally known for being batting-friendly, offering little assistance to bowlers. However, venues in the United States will present a new set of conditions, potentially favoring pace bowlers and all-rounders. Teams that can quickly adapt to these varied conditions will have a distinct advantage.
